50-50 Bar Card

First off, yes I know what that is...everyone always thinks I am too young to know what a 50-50 bar is. My mom loves them!! Although I did grow-up in the era of calling them Creamsicles, my mom still calls it a 50-50 bar.

(Can you believe that on my Smilie program, this was the ONLY popsicle they had to choose from?!)

Anyway, back to the card....this card is so C-U-T-E! I first saw it at our Semi-Annual So-Cal Demo meeting a couple of month's ago. Sue Reynolds had created it. I don't know where she got the idea, but I love it!


It's a perfect match for the One Smart Cookie and Tart & Tangy sets!! The orange image is even Scratch 'n Sniff!

Inside the card, I used the Hotess Level 1 set, For a Friend. I took the small orange image from One Smart Cookie and put it over the heart cloud with a half of a dimentional. Now it looks like, thinking of oranges... Here is a close-up:


I think the Pumpkin Pie Striped Grosgrain ribbon really finished it off...

Thank You Card

I recieved this beautiful Thank You card from one of my Thurs AM Stamping Club members, Jo. I wanted to share her creativity with all of you...

I'm not sure if the "Thank You" is a stamp or if she did the calligraphy herself. Isn't it beautiful?

Green Apple Suspenion Card

This is one of the cards we made at my Thursday AM Stamping Club last week, although club ended up meeting on Tues instead of Thurs...lol.

So, what is a suspension card? It's exactly what it sounds like....an image is suspended on the card. I learned this technique from Dawn Griffin...she is a very tallented stamper!

I used the Apple image from the Tart & Tangy set, but for the first time I decided to make it a Granny Smith....since my favorite color is green.

The image is "framed" with a scallop frame. To make one, you would first punch a 1 3/8" Circle out of your CS, leaving plenty of room all around the punch-out. Then punch a Scallop, centering it around the punched-out circle. Very simple and cleaver!

The ribbon I used is from the Occasions Mini...it's the Chocolate Chip Poly-Twill ribbon.

Also, I make instruction sheets for all of the cards/projects I do with my Stamping Club, including this one. I list the supplies needed, exact CS dimentions, and detailed step-by-step how-to. I would gladly forward any of them to you, for a fee of $3 each. Just contact me if you are interested. Embossed Blossom Swap

This beautiful swap was from last month's Demo meeting, and it was created by Linda Cuellar. It's a very simple and elegant looking swap.


She embossed the image with Gold embossing powder and then used Watercolor Wonder Crayons to color the image in. She even added doodle dots to the center of the flowers. Here is a close-up:

*Did you notice I solved my Watermark dilemma for other people's swaps? If I ever get some spare time, I will make a simple watermark for each crafter....*

Bloomin' Workshop

Yesterday I had my Bloomin' Workshop using the beautiful Class Planning Service designed by Andrea Walford. She helps us Demos out by offering classes for us to teach our customers. My ladies had such a great time making this stationary set!!

They made a portfolio and four cards that fit inside the portfolio. Here is a close-up of the portfolio, showing how the it slides out of the case...

Fresh Cut Notes

The picture below shows all 5 stamps that are included in the set, as well as how the Notes are laser-cut. I only removed 3 of the 5 petals on the one card, to show you how they pop out. Also, the stamps are all DIE CUT! (The paper background is the Afternoon Tea DSP, and of course is not included with the stamp set or note cards.)

My Thurs AM Stamping Club this month made this card using both the "sneak peek" Fresh Cuts stamp set and Fresh Cut Notes. They got their choice of color: Old Olive, Pumkpin Pie, or Rose Red.

I used Whisper White craft ink on the background stamp and stamped the entire front of the note card. I covered the image with clear embossing powder and set with the heat tool. Then I sponged color over the embossed image and wiped the excess ink from embossing with a paper towel. That way the white really "pops" through the sponging.

The embellishments in the center are, from front to back, clear Rhinestone brad from the Pretties set, the Flower Fusions, and the 5-Petal Punch.

To get the reverse stamped image for the inside of the flower, I stamped the background image on another piece of Whisper White CS using classic ink and then attactched it to the inside using Dimentionals. Here is a close-up...Can you see how the patterns line up, but in opposite colors?

Infinite Goodness Swap

Using the crimper and dimentionals on the pear, really made the it "pop" and gave it a different texture.
