Love You Much Cookie Shop

I jave seen this storefront idea many times and think it makes such a cute card. I ended up C.A.S.E.-ing (Copy and Share Everything) this cookie shop idea from a fellow stamper's blog...I'm so sorry, but I can't remember which one.

Embarrassed

I'll start from the top...The awning is from the Candy Lane DSP and scalloped with the Scalloped Edge Punch. I put a few dimentionals under the lower edge to make it stick out a little, like a real awning.

Retail

The window was stamped with the "L" from Love in the Love You Much stamp set and colored with a Basic Gray Watercolor Crayon to look like cookie sheets. The cookies themselves, were stamped and punched out using the Love You Much stamp and Heart to Heart punch. I finished them off with (from left to right) Clear Micro Beads, Dazzling Diamonds, and Pink Beads from the Bead Duos....all were adhered using Crystal Effects. The window sill is 2 pieces of Close to Cocoa CS sponged with Chocolate Chip ink and dimentionalized. Here is a close-up....

The bushes are layered Scalloped Circles punched using Kiwi Kiss, Certainly Celery, Garden Green, and Old Olive CS. The Pink Piroqutte flowers were punched using the Trio Flower Punch and for the centers I dotted Crystal Effects and sprinkled Dazzling Diamonds over.

One of my favorite parts is the Topiary. It is made all from punches! I made the top by using upside-down hearts from the Heart to Heart Punch. From top to bottom: Garden Green, Certainly Celery, and Old Olive. All were sponged with Garden Green ink. The trunk is a Word Window Punch and the pot is a closed Tab Punch with the top cut off to look more flat. Both were sponged with Chocolate Chip ink.

Stamp Sets: Love You Much
Inks: Black Stazon, Chocolate Chip, Garden Green, Riding Hood Red, Pink Pirouette
Card Stock: Riding Hood Red, Whisper White, Close to Cocoa, Chocolate Chip, Pink Pirouette, Garden Green, Old Olive, Kiwi Kiss, Certainly Celery, Candy Lane DSP
Accessories: Blender Pens, Pink Bead Duos, Dazzling Diamonds, Crystal Effects, Dimentionals, Scalloped Circle Punch, Trio Flowers Punch, Rounded Tab Punch, Word Window Punch, Heart to Heart Punch, Scalloped Edge Punch, WaterColor Wonder Crayons, Aqua Painter, Chocolate Chip 1/4" Grosgrain ribbon
Have a sweet day! Chocolate Valentine

Seashell Shaker Card

This is a cute Summery Card my Stamping Club made last year. Since I FINALLY got my blog up and running, I thought I would share it with you.

I used the set Seaside. The shell was stamped in Chocolate Chip ink and then colored in using the now retired Metallic Pencils and Baby Oil Technique. (Clink the link to see how...If you don't have the Metallic pencils, any "pure" colored pencils will work with the Baby Oil Technique.)

I cut the oval frame using the Coluzzle Cutting System and stamped & sponged around the frame using Chocolate Chip ink.

Now for the "shaker" part....I used SU!'s Clear Envelopes. I slid in my colored shell image and then poured a small amount of sand into the envelope. Sealed it and then using Sticky Strip, adhere to the frame. Here's a close-up:

Bride & Groom

The sand I used is extra special! At our wedding we had Hurricanes full of sand and shells with large candles in them set at each table. I used the sand from one of the Hurricanes....it was just sand purchased from Michaels, not from the beach.

Stamp Set: Seaside
Inks: Chocolate Chip Ink Pad
Card Stock: Kraft, Sahara Sand
Accessories: Metallic Pencils (retired), Clear Envelopes, Sticky Strip, Coluzzle Cutting System
Non-SU! Accessories: Baby Oil, Q-Tips, Sand

Hope this warms you up a little... Beach

SU! Change in Catalog Program

Stampin' Up! just released that they will be making some changes to their Catalog Program this coming Summer...

1. As of July 2009, the new Idea Book & Catalog (IBC) will be an Annual Catalog...no more two catalogs a year. So, the new Catalog will run from July 2009-June 2010.

2. The Decor Elements will continue to be seperate from the IBC, and will be released twice a year.

3. The Mini Catalog Program will change to three Mini Catalogs a year, each lasting four months. (From what we can tell they will include: the Holiday Mini, Occassions Mini, and possibly a new Mini? More details on that to come...)

I hope that answers the questions that were brought up at the S.O.T.T.S. Club on Friday.

On The Fly Birthday

Last weekend we celebrated my Dad's Birthday. I made him this card using the On The Fly stamp set...(Sorry for the quality of the picture, I took it with my phone.)

I colored in the Trout using Pretty In Pink, Old Olive, Garden Green, and Basic Grey Watercolor Crayons and an Aqua Painter. The background was stamped using Versamark Ink and I finished the card off with crystal Effects on the Trout.

Stamp Set: On The Fly
Inks: Stazon Ink Pad, Versamark Ink Pad
Card Stock: Close to Cocoa, Old Olive, Baja Breeze, Very Vanilla
Accessories: WWC Earth Elements, Neutrals, & Soft Subtles; Aqua Painter; Dimentionals; Crystal Effects

Birthday Card
What made this card special was my Dad & my Husband are making wooden fishing lures. They have been working on a Trout Swim Bait Lure that is painted similar to the Trout on the card. Here is it...

Hope you had a Great Birthday, Dad!
Thanks for looking and have a great, lazy Sunday! Hammock 1

Valentines: Part 2

As promised, here are the last of the very special Valentines I received.

Dating
This card was made by Heide.

Carolyn made this card. She used the NEW SU! Love You Much stamp set, Eyelet Border punch, and Candy Lane DSP. I love the look of that Eyelet border!

I really like how different both of these cards are. The one is so simple and the other much more eleborate, but they are equally as pretty!

Thank you, Ladies! I really enjoyed receiving all of your cards! Hope everyone had a wonderful Valentine's Day!
